The Windows registry usually gathers up a lot of junk left after the programs that are uninstalled or other events/items. RegistryQuick claims that it can get rid of all the garbage and make your computer run faster. It even promises to get rid of errors and blue screens.
It would be nice if it would let you verify these claims. The trial version of the program doesn’t allow any repairing action to be executed. It only allows to view the scanning results or some other data. Every time you try to do something that would create a change in the system, a popup appears asking you to buy a license. It’s normal to limit access to an application to motivate the user to buy it, but in this case the limitation is exaggerated, unprofessional and shows a desperate need to get your money. Practically, no demonstration is offered so you can’t get even the slightest idea about the quality of the product or if it even works.
Besides scanning the registry, this software can also create a backup or restore it.
In the “Advance” (without the ending d… for some reason) tab, some additional tools show up, like a startup manager, “Add/Revove Pragram Manager” (another typo found in the interface), a disk cleaner and others.
Although the program’s interface is not ugly or badly organized, incomplete words and typos make it look very unprofessional. This shows lack of attention to details.
The registry is scanned fast and this would be an advantage if the results are accurate.
Maybe the program can work some miracles on your system (though it seems very improbable) but since it doesn’t allow any testing, buying it is an act of faith.
